I'll Play My Harp In Beulah Land

I know little about this recording except that it was made in Georgia sometime between 1928 and 1930. Brothers Wright and Williams may have been pseudonyms for Macon Ed and Tampa Joe, who recorded a few excellent string band tunes in the same period. I'll dig through my books tonight and try to find out more. It's available on a number of compilations, including the Sony/Columbia one linked here.

Ooops. Sorry about that last comment. I meant to say "Hey, I have that compilation, and it has some great stuff on it. Rob, do you have any more of that Washington Phillips, who did 'What Are They Doing In Heaven Today'? As for ads, whatever keeps LSH going is fine with me."

Hi Kurt - I've a few more Phillips tracks and, while they're all amazing, they're really not topical on LSH.

I may need to start another blog :)
